Tracy Young, Vice President of Public and Government Affairs at the Texas Charter Schools Association, led the discussion. She discussed current charter school cap laws in Texas, charter school performance and effectiveness, and the potential for expansion of successful charter and ISD schools in the state. The guests were very engaged, asking how they as young professionals could make a difference. Tracy suggested that young professionals get involved with their local school boards in order to make a difference.
