Join Doublethink Online’s writers, editors and bloggers at Science Club (1136 19th Street NW) to celebrate the publication of Doublethink Online’s spring and summer issues.
When: Wednesday, July 15 / 6-8:30 p.m.
Look for signs posted at the bar’s entrance to find what floor we’re on. As always, there is no cover, and food and drink specials will be available.

Fact #1: One of Obama’s very first acts as President was to sign the SCHIP bill. SCHIP increased taxes on pack smokers by 150% and increased taxes on one of the poorest well-defined significant minority groups in the country, those who roll their own from shreds of tobacco and scraps of paper, by over TWO THOUSAND percent… from $1.09/lb to $24.72/lb.
Fact #2: On July 21st, just five minutes into a Today Show interview with Meredith Vieira, Obama looked the national audience in the eye and said, “The only tax change I’ve made in the 6 months I’ve been here is to cut people’s taxes.”
Your choice: Lie? Or Doublethink?
