Ezra Levant comes to Chicago!
Monday, October 24th, 2011Do you remember the hububb a few years ago when a Danish newspaper printed a cartoon of the Muslim prophet Mohammed? It challenged Western ideals of free expression…and free expression won.
Shortly thereafter in Canada, activist Ezra Levant republished the cartoon in The Western Standard magazine. Levant was then called before of the Alberta Human Rights Commission to respond to a complaint that printing the cartoon had violated others’ rights. The case was dropped eventually, but not before video of the hearing became extremely well-viewed. Watch Levant’s amazing opening statement here.
Join America’s Future Foundation-Chicago on November 9th to hear more about his experience and his new book on a different topic entitled ‘Ethical Oil.’ In the book, Levant encourages people to choose “Ethical Oil” from Canada and other free countries. “Unlike ‘Conflict Oil’ from some of the world’s most politically oppressive and environmentally reckless regimes, Ethical Oil is the ‘Fair Trade’ choice in oil.”
