Congrats Nick Cooper!

What do our AF members do after leading a chapter?

Let me tell you about our friend, Nick Cooper.

AF comes into contact with many young professionals, but Nick stands out. Nick joined AF in 2013 and became a leader within six months.  As of this past month, he just finished a two-year term of being the Atlanta Chapter Leader. Being the leader of one of our most active chapters is no easy task. His chapter has events at least twice a month and he had an event with more than 90 people in attendance recently. Whether the discussion is about education or criminal justice reform, Nick finds amazing speakers. He has also been able to partner up with other liberty groups and nonprofits to run events. On top of running meetings, he has represented AF at conferences and works full-time.

When asking the past Atlanta Chapter leader, Jason Riddle, about Nick, he had this to say:

“Over the past two years, Nick worked determinedly on all fronts to grow the liberty community in Atlanta to one of the most active in the country. We will miss Nick, but we are excited to follow his future success

Nick’s work has not only allowed for people in Georgia to find AF, but others as well. Believe it or not, I found AF due to Nick along with the help of a few other Atlanta leaders. I had my friends from FEE, but wanted to meet more libertarians in the area. I was able to attend two events that summer. They were not only great for networking, but they allowed for any and all people to speak. Not just the popular people with popular ideas.

AF looks forward to Nick coming closer to headquarters. He will be pursuing a master’s degree in economics at George Mason University. Congrats and good luck!
