Build Your Professional Brand

March 21, 2018 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM

Detroit Beer Company

1529 Broadway Street, Detroit, Michigan 48226

Just like successful entrepreneurs are known for the unique value they offer customers, so is every well-branded professional. Whether you’re fundraising for a nonprofit, selling clothes at a boutique, running social media for a startup, organizing activists or something else entirely, developing and refining your brand is a necessary, but often forgotten, component of career advancement.

Chantal Lovell, director of strategic communications at the State Policy Network, will talk about developing your professional brand and leveraging it to strategically advance and even guide your career. She’ll offer tangible advice on where to start if you’ve never considered personal branding, and next steps and guidance on how to market yourself once you’ve begun branding.

Chantal works with individuals across the country on branding, career development, and communications coaching. In her role at State Policy Network, she works alongside state-based think tanks as they develop and execute issue campaigns to reduce the size of government. While she works on a variety of policy issues, her primary focus is on reforms that give people more freedom in the workplace, and those that remove red tape so people have more opportunities to succeed.

Join us for this discussion and evening to meet and network with other young professionals from across Michigan. Doors open at 6:00 p.m. and remarks will begin at 6:30 p.m. As always, we will have lots of food and your first drink is on us!
