How to Fix Social Security
Date(s) - 04/11/2013
6:00 pm - 8:00 pm
The Mason Bar
The Social Security fund is currently expected to run out in 2033– only 20 years from now. Today’s young professionals can expect to receive only a fraction of their scheduled benefits. Dr. Michael Cox, Director of the O’Neil Center for Global Markets and Freedom at SMU and former Chief Economist at the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas, will explain how we can fix this broken system and give workers investment options with their retirement income. Using Chile as a model, he will show how privatizing Social Security will make everyone better off.
We will be at The Mason Bar in uptown. We have a private room from 6-8pm with free drinks and appetizers. Free books too! Hope to see you there!
