Southeast Michigan Chapter Event: National School Choice Week Celebration

January 18, 2017 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM

Detroit Beer Company

1529 Broadway Street, Detroit,

Please join us to celebrate National School Choice Week as we take time to learn more about education options and highlight the benefits of freedom in education from our keynote speaker Brandon Brice.

Brandon attributes his commitment to service to his parents who instilled in him the importance of a quality education, hard work, dedication and service to others first. Brandon has stayed true to these virtues by earning a Bachelor’s in Business Administration in Business Management from Howard University, a Masters of Science in Global Affairs from Rutgers University. Brandon is a recipient of the Henry J. Raimondo Fellowship through the New Jersey Eagleton Institute of Politics, and has worked with the Heritage Foundation and has interned on Capitol Hill while working in the Office of former U.S. House Speaker J. Dennis Hastert. Brandon began his career as an Associate with National Urban League’s Economic Opportunity Institute and later served as the Director of Education Affairs in the Office of New Jersey Governor Chris J. Christie. Brandon later worked as Director of Strategic Partnerships and Resource Development for Veterans Empowerment of Georgia and served as an Executive with the Boy Scouts of America. Brandon currently serves as a Columnist and Guest OP-ED Writer for the Detroit News and Mackinac Center for Policy.

This is a great opportunity to meet other professionals from across SE Michigan and learn about various policy issues affecting Michigan taxpayers. As always, we will have lots of food and your first drink is on us. We will also have #NSCW swag to give away at the event for all attendees!
