The Art of the Side Hustle

August 15, 2018 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM

Detroit Beer Co.

1529 Broadway St., Detroit, MI 48226

Today more than a third of Americans are working in the ‘Gig’ Economy – mixing together side hustles, short-term jobs, contract work, and freelance assignments. The new American dream is evolving in a way that allows people to access the lifestyle they want, focusing more on a quality of life consisting of time and experiences, rather than a quantity of stuff.

Join AF-Detroit and Northwood University to welcome keynote speaker Beth Bryce, Director of Career Advancement at Northwood University. If you have an entrepreneurial mindset, this workshop is for you. Come to learn the four types of gigs, how to build a portfolio, what’s the easier way to start a side hustle now, and how to pursue the career and lifestyle of your dreams today.

As always, we’ll have free food, and your first drink is on us! Join us at 6:00 pm to meet and network with other young professionals from across Michigan, and the panel discussion will begin at 6:30 pm, with more networking to follow.
