In the wake of Big Government’s mildly shocking* series on ACORN’s pro-pimp activities, the Senate voted to cut off federal funding for the group 83-7. Jim Geraghty labeled those seven Senators the “child whoring pimp assistance seven.” Clever, and to the point. Their names:

• Dick Durbin (D-IL)
• Roland Burris (D-IL)
• Robert Casey (D-PA)
• Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY)
• Patrick Leahy (D-VT)
• Bernie Sanders (I-VT)
• Sheldon Whitehouse (D-RI)

Those are going to make for some fun campaign ads.

*Mildly shocking because it’s ACORN; it’s a shady, shady group and I’m a little surprised that it has taken so long for something like this to come to the light. Certainly the media has been looking into allegations of voter fraud and the like, wouldn’t you think?**

(**Hahahaha! The media run a shocking expose on a liberal advocacy group with prominent ties to the civil rights movement? I know, right. What we really need is another documentary about the evils of Blackwater.)
