Let’s just dust this one off, shall we?

Following up on Donadio’s post, that oped follows an all-too-common model: take a piece you or someone else (in this case, Brzezinski) has written a number of times before. Insert a new and timely hook, changing the meat of the argument not one whit. And finish off by noting that the stakes are higher than ever, now is the time, when in the moon is in the seventh house, etc.

Again, this is hardly a novel approach (see Friedman, Thomas) but it is the sort of hackery formerly employed by journalists, and now increasingly it seems by foreign policy hands.
