This week’s Must Attend Events features several events focusing around the issue of protecting life, as one of the world’s largest annual rallies is set to begin.

Monday, January 19th

  • Arlington Falls Church Young Republicans Meeting ft. Alex Skatell

Hard Times, 3028 Wilson Blvd, Arlington, Virginia 22201

7 p.m.

The first AFCYR meeting of 2015 will feature American entrepreneur Alex Skatell. Alex is the founder of the Independent Journal Review, one of the largest news websites in the world. Alex has been a political advisor to many United States Governors, Senators, Congressmen and the Prime Minister of Australia. In the past, Alex has worked as the Media Director of the National Republican Senatorial Committee and Digital Director for the Republican Governors Association.

Wednesday, January 20th

  • Voice for the Voiceless” Reception

The 201 Bar, 201 Massachusetts Ave NE, Washington, District of Columbia 20002

6:30 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.

This reception is hosted by the Beltway Right to Life.  Suggested donation: $5 (to benefit the life-affirming work of Capitol Hill Pregnancy Center and local pro-life educational efforts)

Human rights advocate, Jewels Green, will be in attendance and  will open by sharing her incredible story.

  • March for Life Conference and Expo

Renaissance Washington DC Downtown Hotel, 999 Ninth Street NW, Washington, D.C., 20001

9:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.

The March for Life Conference is the day before the March for Life and features, the Youth Rally, the Expo Hall, a Law Conference, Capitol Hill 101, and the Culture of Life Seminar. The Expo is an opportunity for March for Life attendees to connect with pro-life organizations.

Thursday, January 21th

  • March for Life 2015

12th St., National Mall, Washington, D.C.

1:00 p.m. March

Every year on the anniversary of the Roe v. Wade decision, thousands of protesters peacefully gather for March for Life. It is the largest pro-life event in the world. The march begins immediately following the rally at approximately 1 pm and  proceeds from the National Mall, makes a right on Constitution Avenue, makes a right on 1st St. NE, and ends in front of the U.S. Supreme Court.
