Nice

I’m a fan of Ross Douthat’s writing. I find his temperate tone refreshing when compared with nearly everything else out there these days. But, frankly, it’s good to see him stick the knife in once in a while, like he does here to David Simon.

And he’s right too. Look, I’m a Baltimore native, my dad’s a criminal lawyer (not Morrie Levy), and I’m an avowed fan of the first four seasons. But’s it very difficult not to feel that Simon betrayed his story in order to settle some very petty scores, of rather ambiguous provenance.
