How will you achieve your professional goals?

Check out the different programs AFF has to offer:

Roundtables

Interested in today's top policy issues or timely professional development topics? Held every month, AFF Roundtables focus on issues facing young professionals today and often feature a robust discussion of libertarian and conservative perspectives. This program is organized by the AFF Roundtable Committee. Enjoy a networking reception followed by a unique and dynamic panel of rising leaders. If you have a few years of experience and expertise in your field, you may be interested in submitting a potential panel speaker form.

Happy Hours

Want to socialize and network with like-minded professionals? Join AFF each month for a happy hour at various bars in D.C. and Northern Virginia. Occasionally, these happy hours are co-hosted with partner organizations or feature well-known liberty movement guests you need to meet.

Collaborative Events

With the support of partner organizations around D.C. and beyond, AFF is proud to co-host special events you will enjoy. Past events have included "Welcome to Washington"; "Speed Networking"; training seminars on career development, public speaking, or other skills; and joint panel discussions. Luncheon Series

AFF's regular luncheons allow you, as a rising leader to spend some time learning from and meeting top experts in the liberty movement and networking with your peers over lunch. If you're a development professional, "Cultivation Crew" will help you hone your development skills, with speakers focused on specific topics such as asking for gifts, database management, and direct mail, among many others. If you're looking to expand your skills, reach the top of your department, or transition to a new field, "Lunch with a Leader" provides advice from successful and established professionals from different fields in nonprofits, the Hill, and the private sector.

Leadership Dinners

Hosted  twice annually, this reception and dinner features a three-course meal and a special guest, which in the past has included Ted Cruz, Ron Paul, Heather Higgins, Ed Feulner, Rand Paul, Robert Novak, Justice Antonin Scalia, and Tony Blankley. Members receive discounted tickets. Sponsorships are available for this event.

Annual Gala

This is one of the must-attend events on the D.C. social calendar. Join AFF for a black-tie night of networking and fun at an elegant location. Meet new friends and catch up with old ones at AFF's premiere social event of the year. Past featured guests include Sen. Ron Johnson and John Allison. Members receive discounted tickets. Interested in attending without paying for an individual ticket? Ask your organization or company to sponsor for group ticket prices.

Members-Only Events

In addition to getting discounts at most AFF events, AFF members receive exclusive invitations to intimate gatherings with influential leaders as well as social events such as wine tastings. Spring 2014 will see an exclusive meeting with Pulitzer Prize winner George Will. In 2013, members received a private briefing from Justice Samuel Alito in the Lawyers Lounge at the Supreme Court.
