Trying to build a writing career? Want one-on-one mentoring? Care to meet well-known DC writers and receive training on how to get published? Sessions are held Tuesdays for accepted Fellows and include featured writers and journalists in DC along with small group workshops to enhance Fellows’ writing abilities. Interested in today's top policy issues or timely professional development topics? Held every other month, AFF Roundtables focus on issues facing young professionals today and often feature a robust discussion of libertarian and conservative perspectives. This program is organized by the AFF Roundtable Committee. Enjoy a networking reception followed by a unique and dynamic panel of rising leaders. If you have a few years of experience and expertise in your field, you may be interested in submitting a potential panel speaker form.
Want to socialize and network with like-minded professionals? Join AFF each month for a happy hour at various bars in D.C. and Northern Virginia. Occasionally, these happy hours are co-hosted with partner organizations or feature well-known liberty movement guests you need to meet.

AFF's regular luncheons allow you, as a rising leader to spend some time learning from and meeting top experts in the liberty movement and networking with your peers over lunch. If you're a development professional, "Cultivation Crew" will help you hone your development skills, with speakers focused on specific topics such as asking for gifts, database management, and direct mail, among many others. If you're looking to expand your skills, reach the top of your department, or transition to a new field, "Lunch with a Leader" provides advice from successful and established professionals from different fields in nonprofits, the Hill, and the private sector.
