The Weekly Standard’s summer reading issue is out now: pick it up! You’ll love it!

Two recommendations of my own:

1. Grand New Party, by Ross and Reihan. Very good. More thoughts later this week.
2. The Girl on the Fridge, by Etgar Keret. A new collection of old short stories from the Israeli author of The Nimrod Flipout. Very good, though not as good as Nimrod. Both collections are an interesting look at a society you can’t really understand if you’ve never been there. But both definitely give a handy insight into Israeli life.
