So here are my questions about the story of John Edwards and his love child: once a politician leaves the national stage, is it okay to keep writing about his personal life? More to the point: Is Edwards actually out of the national spotlight? How much credit should Mickey Kaus get for keeping this story alive? How long can the mainstream media continue to ignore this story? Is this why he bowed out of VP consideration? Does having an affair while his wife fought cancer make him a worse person than being a trial lawyer who made his money off of suing doctors who give birth to babies? Inquiring minds want to know.
