The mortgage fairy

By: Daniel Polansky

I don’t know whether it’s his overheated prose style or his intuitive leaps, but for some reason reading Steve Sailer frequently makes me hear this line from Tommy Boy in my head (video clip not online, apparently):

The point is, how do you know the fairy isn’t a crazy glue sniffer? “Building model airplanes” says the little fairy, well, we’re not buying it. He sneaks into your house once, that’s all it takes. The next thing you know, there’s money missing off the dresser and your daughter’s knocked up, I seen it a hundred times.

Which is not to say that you shouldn’t read him for a cogent analysis of our current troubles, treating matters that other commentators have only touched on (even longer take here for those with time).
