One of my favorite parts about spending the summer in DC has been the amount of theater I’ve seen, cheaply. The Fringe Festival, King Lear, and the Rent and Spring Awakening tours have all highlighted the last few months. With summer nearing a close, what’s a theater enthusiast to do?
- Scope out DCist’s roundup of August Theater offerings.
- Check DC Theatre Scene, one of the best blogs on the topic.
- Go to Improvapalooza tonight or tomorrow. The Washington Improv Theater is putting on 85 unique shows, and tickets are only $10.
- Don’t miss Studio Theatre’s (14th & P St NW) Annual Garage Sale tomorrow morning, August 1 from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. All kinds of things will be up for sale – costumes, home furnishings, antiques and even props.
