Apply for the Spring 2019 Writing Fellows Program by Dec. 18
Get published. Get hired. Make a difference.
Are you looking to step up your writing skills and get published? The AF Writing Fellows Program is the perfect opportunity for aspiring writers to jump-start a career in policy.
Over the course of six evening sessions, you’ll hear from successful journalists and editors who will sharpen your skills, help you build your network, and teach you how to make a difference through your writing. You’ll receive one-on-one mentoring and have the opportunity to get published during the program.
Alumni of the Writing Fellows Program have gone on to work as reporters and opinion writers at prominent media outlets, as staffers in the White House and on Capitol Hill, and as senior fellows at think tanks. They’ve been published in the Wall Street Journal, The Washington Post, Politico, The Washington Examiner, National Review, Reason, Nylon, and many other publications.
Find more information on the program here. The DC-based fellowship will meet in-person on Wednesday nights from February 13 through March 27, and the virtual fellowship will meet via our video conferencing platform on Tuesday nights from February 5 through March 19.
