AF-Indianapolis Dinner and Dialogue: Politeness vs. Civility

November 1, 2021 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM

Meridian Restaurant & Bar

5694 North Meridian Street , Indianapolis,

It’s no secret that we live in divided times. Nor is the problem of political and social division anything new.

For decades, think tanks, academics and writers have made valiant attempts to help our public leaders be “nicer” and more “polite” to one another. But what if the inordinate focus on “politeness” is part of the problem?

Join AF-Indianapolis as we host author and speaker Alexandra Hudson as she explores the important difference between civility and politeness, and explains why civility — not politeness — is what we should aim to revive in our republic today.

Your $15 ticket includes dinner and your first drink. Questions about this event or AF membership? Email [email protected].
