AF-Jackson: Shakespeare in the Park Donation Drive for Storm Victims

AF-Jackson to collect donations for storm victims during the park presentation of King Lear directed by AF-Jackson’s own Amile Wilson.

A storm system that passed through Mississippi a few weeks ago left 25 people dead and many more in need.

Homes and businesses were destroyed in several counties and residents were left without basics such as shelter, running water, and power.

AF-Jackson is accepting donations of everyday basics, non-perishable food, water, etc. at Smith Park during Shakespeare in the Park.

Some of the immediate needs include:

• Bottled water
• Canned goods
• Paper products
• Pet food
• Diapers and wipes
• Manual can openers
• Baby formula
• Personal hygiene items
• Pet carriers
• Laundry detergent
• Cleaning supplies
