AF-Jackson’s Great City Social

Join us as we welcome former congressman Chip Pickering to discuss his Great City projects & plans to boost economic development in Jackson.

Former congressman Chip Pickering will be discussing his organization Great City and their vision for our capital city. Great City is a non-profit organization that is working to make Jackson a more vibrant and prosperous city. They are focused on economic development, quality of life, and infrastructure projects that will create jobs and opportunities for all Jacksonians.

This is a great opportunity to learn more about Great City and their work. It is also a chance to network with other young professionals who are passionate about making Jackson a better place.

The event will be held on Monday, August 28th at 5:30 pm.

The Great City Mississippi Foundation’s vision prioritizes the growth of the Jackson metro area’s economy by building a trail system, improving education and tourism resources, and implementing new infrastructure projects. The organization believes that building a better foundation will pave the way for economic and workforce development, as well as training opportunities to keep young professionals engaged and active in the state. Great City connects the metro area’s community-led efforts to better utilize resources and make a difference.
