In 1839, immigrants seeking the free practice of their religion, founded Freistadt (“free city”), Wis., beginning with a school first. In 2012, Trinity’s legacy commitment to underserved populations led the church to welcome refugee Karenni who were immigrating from Myanmar (Burma); this ministry ushered Trinity into the state’s parental school choice programs. While this move bolstered ministry opportunities, some families fled. The school shrank to just over 100 students by 2018.

In 2018, the school under went significant changes in culture and expectations, and as a result has seen 150% growth in 4 years, with a 25% minority population and 32 zip codes represented.
