Big Thinkers’ Book Club: American Kingpin by Nick Bilton

October 9, 2019 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM

The Library Room at the Cudahy Tower

925 East Wells St., Milwaukee, WI 53202

What role should the government play in our daily lives? Does government intervention make us feel safer, or does it restrict individual freedom and liberty? When do we want the government to intervene? How does all of this factor into the war on drugs or technology use?

We’ll discuss these questions and many more in our third edition of Big Thinker’s Book Club. Join us in the Library at the Cudahy Tower in downtown Milwaukee on October 9th from 6-8pm for drinks, snacks, and a lively discussion of American Kingpin: The Epic Hunt for the Criminal Mastermind Behind the Silk Road, by Nick Bilton. Read the book ahead of time, or come for the discussion and decide if you want to read it later! This conversation will be moderated by the AFF Milwaukee Advisory Board.

Copies of the book can be purchased on Amazon.
