Big Thinkers’ Book Club: The Conservative Heart by Arthur Brooks

February 13, 2019 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM

The Library Room at Cudahy Tower

925 E Wells St., Milwaukee, WI 53202

Is conservatism compatible with compassion? Is capitalism heartless? How do I talk about and act on what I believe while ALSO promoting my values and my neighbors?

We’ll discuss these questions and many more at AF-Milwaukee’s inaugural book club meeting. Join us in the Library at the Cudahy Tower in downtown Milwaukee on February 13th from 6:00-8:00 pm for drinks, snacks, and a lively discussion of The Conservative Heart: How to Build a Fairer, Happier, and More Prosperous America by Arthur Brooks. Read the book ahead of time, or come for the discussion and decide if you want to read it later! This conversation will be moderated by the AF-Milwaukee Advisory Board.

We handed out a few copies of the book at our holiday party in December, but if you missed it, you can still join us! Purchase the book from Amazon or a local book seller; you can also request it from the Milwaukee Public Library.
