New Orleans- Join America’s Future and the Center for the Study of Liberty for an evening of learning and discussion about drug prohibition with others in the local community.

Unlike more political or policy-focused gatherings, this event will explore big economic and philosophical ideas at the heart of this complex social issue. The evening will feature two talks, discussion, and a complementary dinner and reception.

Here’s the schedule:
5:30 PM Welcome
5:45 PM “The Economics of Vice” by Dr. Audrey Redford, Western Carolina University
6:45 PM Dinner
7:15 PM “The Ethics of Prohibition” by Dr. Michael Huemer, University of Colorado, Boulder
8:15 PM Concluding Remarks
8:15-9:30 Reception

The purpose of the event is to give you tools to use and the space to discuss with experts and with peers. We hope you will leave with new ideas to consider, stimulated to learn more on your own, and equipped to have thoughtful conversations beyond this evening.
