Position Description
FIRE is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented administrative professional to join our team. We are looking for an individual committed to managing the inner workings of a growing nonprofit through data entry and record keeping. The Administrative Assistant will provide vital support to the Development department by handling the day-to-day administrative duties associated with fundraising for a multi-million dollar organization.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Manage the gift entry process, including receiving and inputting donations, drafting thank you notes and tax receipt letters to donors, and running donor reports;
- Manage all data entry into Salesforce system;
- Organize and maintain files, correspondence, records and other documents;
- Ensure donation and contact information is accurately reflected in Salesforce;
- Work with the finance department to report and document gifts received;
- Format and review Word documents and PDFs;
- Perform reporting, analytic and query work;
- Submit check requests for payment of vendors;
- Assist with managing the direct mail program;
- Other administrative and data entry duties as needed.
This position has an immediate start date.
Qualifications
A successful candidate must have the following qualifications:
- An understanding of FIRE’s mission
- Previous experience working in an office environment;
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines;
- Strong organizational skills;
- Detail oriented with a high degree of accuracy, and able to maintain strict confidentiality;
- Salesforce or other CRM experience is highly preferred but not required.
It is preferred that candidates possess an undergraduate degree from an accredited college or university, however a combination of education and relevant experience will be considered. Ideally, we would like candidates to commit a minimum of two years to this role.
Salary and Compensation
Starting salary is negotiable and depends upon experience. FIRE conducts periodic evaluations where employees may receive raises or bonuses for outstanding and excellent work.
