About CRC
Capital Research Center investigates those trying to influence the public policy process—organizations, activists, funders, the media, and policymakers—particularly those that the legacy media does not cover. As America’s investigative think tank, we connect the dots to help the public understand how special interests are protected. We strive to produce ironclad research that we develop into effective communications that we deploy for real-world impact.

We consider the mission of investigating the funding and networks behind political and policy influencers not only crucial research on its own, but a much-needed supplement to the work of other think tanks and media outlets who require research quickly to fulfill their own missions.

As such, we have created a repository of our own investigative work at our website; routinely appear in print, television, and digital media; create short-form and longer documentary videos on emerging issues; and maintain an ever-growing database of influencers we call Influence Watch. And that’s just the tip of the iceberg. Our work examining the often-hidden networks behind some of the biggest and most consequential American political policy ideas is regularly used and routinely referenced by state and local legislators, Congressional members, journalists, policy analysts, and other similarly minded think tanks. CRC’s research and investigative journalism are grounded in principles of individual liberty, a free- market economy, and limited, constitutional government.
