About the Election Integrity Network

The Election Integrity Network (EIN) is a project within the Institute and operates as a dynamic coalition platform, extending its influence across 20+ states and continually expanding its reach. EIN's commitment to empowering election integrity advocates is evident through its varied training, coalition support, issue advocacy, and leadership. The paramount objective of EIN is to ensure the proper administration of elections, strictly adhering to state laws and procedures. By emphasizing compliance with election statutes, EIN aims to instill confidence in lawful voters, assuring them that their political choices are accurately counted and validated. In just a few short years, EIN, alongside its partners and coalition members, has made a lasting impact on enhancing the security of US elections.

About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our team as a Program Associate. They will play a crucial role in supporting the center's mission by managing various aspects of program development, citizen engagement, and communications. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills, excellent organization, and effective communication skills both verbally and written. No experience is required, but an interest in election integrity and alignment with the core values of the organization is a must. This is a full-time role with the ability to work in a virtual office within the US. 

Responsibilities

  • Maintain the Center’s website for posting relevant news and information.
  • Recruit citizen groups to actively participate in the organization's initiatives and programs.
  • Publicize private funding of election offices to increase transparency and public awareness.
  • Initiate grassroots activities to promote civic engagement. 
  • Assist in the development of engagement templates and citizen toolkits for monitoring and researching local and state election offices.
  • Draft and prepare Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) and Open Records requests.
  • Develop and maintain 360 reporting systems for comprehensive data analysis.
  • Create templates for formal actions to be taken by election officials and other government agencies.
  • Assist with communications and research efforts, including the development of media and public relations materials.
  • Utilize social media platforms to enhance outreach and engagement.

Qualifications

  • Tech Savvy: Proficient in utilizing various software and online platforms, including but not limited to spreadsheets, presentation tools, and website management.
  • Organized: Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines are met and priorities are effectively handled.
  • Oral / Written Communication Skills: Strong ability to articulate ideas and information clearly, both verbally and in writing.
  • Self-Motivated / Self-Starter: Demonstrated initiative and ability to work independently, taking ownership of tasks and projects.
  • Knowledge of Spreadsheets: Familiarity with spreadsheet software for data analysis and reporting.
  • Knowledge of PowerPoints: Ability to create compelling presentations to convey information effectively.
  • Strong Research Skills: Proficient in conducting thorough research to support program development and decision-making.
  • Self-starter: Able to work independently and without constant supervision.
  • Outgoing Personality: Comfortable engaging with individuals and groups, fostering positive relationships.
  • Conservative Values: Alignment with the core values of the organization. 
  • Interest in Election Integrity: A passion for the issue and what the center is trying to accomplish.
