About the Intercollegiate Studies Institute:

The Intercollegiate Studies Institute (ISI) seeks a Vice President of Development to join its senior leadership team and direct its fundraising operations. As a member of ISI’s senior team, the VP of Development will play a big role in shaping the big picture vision of the organization moving forward.

Founded in 1953, ISI is a nonprofit organization that “educates for liberty,” equipping talented college students to defend the principles that make America free and prosperous. Our alumni have gone on to do incredible things. Take Supreme Court justice Samuel Alito, Hillsdale College president Larry Arnn, and PayPal cofounder Peter Thiel, to name only a few examples.

About the Vice President of Development Opening:

The Vice President of Development will be responsible for managing an executive caseload of major donors and foundations, overseeing a team of major gifts officers, coordinating the organization’s direct-mail program and donor-programming activities, and designing and implementing future fundraising campaigns. The Vice President of Development will play a key role in building systems and structures to support major-donor clubs, ISI’s planned-giving society, and more formal development procedures and practices.

The Vice President of Development will be expected to travel significantly (50%) for in-person donor meetings, to attend key ISI student and donor events, and to represent the organization and its mission at other important events or conferences within the conservative movement.

Overall, the Vice President of Development is responsible for supporting the development team in its efforts to advance the mission of ISI by inviting and enabling new supporters to join in that mission financially.
