Get to know more about Addison!

What do you enjoy about your career path so far and why?
I have worked in various types of jobs and industries, so I feel like that makes me very well-rounded. I’m always up for new challenges — change is a good thing!

Meet Addison Patrick, AFF-Jacksonville’s New Chapter LeaderHow long have you been in Jacksonville, and what brought you there?
I’ve been in Jacksonville about 2.5 years. It was a toss-up between New York and Florida.  Florida won! No state income tax, warmer climate and who doesn’t love palm trees?

What has been your history with AFF?
After meeting the previous Chapter Leader of AFF-Jax, I started attending AFF events in 2019 and quickly became a board member.

What helpful skills do you hold that people could ask you for advice about?
Negotiating, event planning and human resources/benefits-related items.

What are you most excited about for the Chapter Leader role?
I really enjoy planning events and bringing people together. It makes me happy to see people realize that they are capable of making a difference in their own community.

Meet Addison Patrick, AFF-Jacksonville’s New Chapter Leader 2Book recommendations?
The Going Home book series by Angery American. Also, can’t go wrong with The Giver by Lowery.

Coffee Order?
I don’t drink coffee very often (I prefer tea), but it would be something iced with caramel.

Favorite places to travel?
I like to travel for concerts but generally stay on the East Coast.

What is on your “Top Fun Things To Do in Jacksonville” list?
Festivals, shows, and all the parks! There seems to be multiple things going on every weekend. If you’re bored, you’re doing it wrong.
