What Julian and Megan said. If a lesbian speaker came to, say, Bob Jones University, and was subjected to verbal assault and made to feel unsafe by the actions of a vocal group of protesters, I can’t imagine those involved in shouting her down would be given an atta-boy by the Left.

Respecting free speech, even for those you vehemently disagree with, is a responsibility every member of a democratic society shares. I find nothing more depressing than the tendency of those on the left on college campuses to disrupt and shout down those they dislike.
