In the wake of America’s 2-0 victory over Mexico last night, one of the Mexican coaches got a little slappy with American star Frankie Hejduk. Video at that link.

I enjoy soccer for a number of reasons, primarily having grown up surrounded by the sport in England. The American version is, well, not as good. But I love–love–the US/Mexico games because the Mexicans have a raging inferiority complex: it’s their national pastime, and we pretty much always beat them, especially in home games. It drives them insane that Americans don’t at all care about the sport and yet they can’t seem to beat us.
