The Federalist’s Mollie Hemingway, National Review‘s Ramesh Ponnuru, Reason Magazine’s Stephanie Slade, and The Washington Examiner’s Tim Carney. What do all of these writers have in common? They have all been speakers at our Writing Fellows Program, and you have the opportunity to learn about writing and publishing from experts like them!

If you’re a liberty-minded aspiring writer, or your job includes writing responsibilities, and you’re looking to grow your skill set, then the AF Writing Fellows Program is for you! We’re now accepting applications for the Spring 2018 session.

One night a week, for six weeks, learn from our featured editors and writers in small group writing workshops designed to enhance your writing abilities. Sessions are held in-person in Washington, DC, but can also be attended via webcam for those outside the beltway.

The ideal applicant is someone already in a full-time job that requires writing blogs, articles, op-eds, or press releases. Attendance, whether in-person or online, at all six evening sessions is mandatory. Sessions are held on Tuesday evenings from 6:30-8:30 p.m. ET in February and March. Food and beverages are provided during the sessions for those attending onsite.
