Chapter Leader
Elijah Richardson
Elijah Richardson is devoted to the alignment of maintaining strong connections with the community while trying to live, teach, and promote Rev. Dr. King's Complete Life model. Elijah began his professional career at Culver-Stockton College, where he taught and mentored local students about life and how to be a student-athlete through the "Life After High School" curriculum. Through his work, he laid the basis for WHOH Detroit today by establishing various social justice projects via athletics, law enforcement, and mentorship. In 2018 Elijah graduated from Culver Stockton and pursued his masters degree at Western Illinois University, where he served as an Assistant Complex Director, Hiring Committee member and Judicial Board member. After receiving his master's degree in 2020, he accepted an Author and Curriculum Administrator position with the National Criminal Justice Training Research and Consulting Agency. This led to him becoming a teacher at Charlotte Mason Community Schools followed by a Dean of Students at Jefferson Douglass Academy in 2021. Elijah now helps his community in two significant capacities. He is the Executive Director of WHOH Detroit and the Network Athletic and Fitness Director for Cornerstone Schools. Elijah is dedicated to fostering strong connections with the community primarily with youth while serving as an example of how everyone has the potential to learn from their experiences to develop and achieve in life.
