In short, the opposite to the progressive agenda running rampant in the Northeast. America’s Future is for conservative and libertarian young professionals who believe that they know how to better run their own lives than some bureaucrat.

Larry Gillheeney

Larry Gillheeney

Larry Gillheeney is the advocacy manager for the Rhode Island Center for Freedom & Prosperity. He holds an advanced degree in International Relations from Salve Regina University, where he focused extensively on economic development and individual rights. He is a lifelong resident of Cranston, Rhode Island. Larry writes for the Ocean State Current, is Grand Knight of KoC council #4331, and sits on the board of St. Pius Young Adults. In his ample spare time, he enjoys swimming, hiking, and Clint Eastwood movies. He writes, "Our country is at a critical moment. Will we be forced to repeat the horrendous mistakes of the 20th century succumbing to the dangers of progressive-socialism, or will embrace the soul-fulfilling opportunities granted through the power of capitalism and individual freedom to build a better tomorrow? It is up to the young people of the Ocean State to lead the way. At the Rhode Island Chapter of the America's Future, we know the right answer, and we want you to join us."

Grant Van Eck

Grant Van Eck

Grant Van Eck has a passion for improving his community by cultivating the next generation of leaders and grounding them in American values. As a native of New Jersey, he counts himself blessed to be part of a very large close-knit family and cherishes every minute with his wife and four beautiful young children. Grant has served as an elected official, he is an Eagle Scout, former Toastmasters Club President, AF Chapter Leader Emeritus, and Past Grand Knight in the Knights of Columbus. He has raised and overseen millions of dollars for charitable causes. In his free time, he enjoys routing for the Yankees, gardening, and can find a Seinfeld reference every scenario life throws at him. Grant states, “AF is the right organization to bring individuals in RI together who believe in the constitution, free-markets, property rights, and liberty. RI’s AF chapter is fun. We are a place where motivated young professionals who understand or want to learn about freedom gather to grow their business, network, share ideas and support their fellow patriots.”
