Coming to Laissez Fair? Here are more sights to see while you’re in Alexandria

The Laissez Fair is just ten days away and we are so excited for you to join us for food, fun, and some great local talent! It’ll be a lovely afternoon to catch up with friends, check out the creative side of many of your colleagues, and enjoy the fall weather with a beer in your hand. We’ll have food trucks to fill your stomachs and beer and drinks to facilitate great discussions. 

The Lee-Fendall House is a fascinating structure on its own, but if you’re making the trek to Alexandria, why not make a day of it by exploring the town before and after the event? Below are some suggestions for what else to see and do.

Getting there: 

Sure there is always Uber, or Lyft, but why not take the scenic route? 

Take the water taxi from either the Wharf or Georgetown and enjoy a gorgeous ride along the Potomac. The taxi drops you off just a short walk from the Lee-Fendall House. 

If you take the metro to King Street, hop on the Alexandria Trolley for a free ride past all the shops and restaurants. Get off at either the N. Columbus or N. Asaph stops to walk to the Laissez Fair. (Runs every 10 minutes from 10:30 AM – 10:30 PM)
