Building Connections and Networking Virtually

Last month, AFF hosted our Fall Virtual Career Kickstarter, focused on helping young professionals and recent graduates to land their dream job in this new environment.

Restrictions on in-person gatherings have radically changed the nature of networking, and while this presents challenges, it also brings opportunities. Whether a city is open or still quarantining, there’s advantages to expanding your network virtually. During the first night, panelists discussed the best practices for building an online network and offered insider tips for making the most of an online coffee meeting, cold email or introductions.

Jenny DeMarco

Jenny DeMarco is the event marketing coordinator at America's Future, where she promotes AF's chapter events across the country. She also serves as assistant director of digital strategy at the Federalist Society and previously worked as a research assistant for the Network of enlightened Women. Jenny earned her B.S. in health policy from Providence College in Providence, Rhode Island. She loves coffee, New England, trying new recipes, and reading mystery novels. Jenny is currently based in Arlington, Virginia.
