Introducing Emma Erfourth, AF’s New Office & Development Manager
-
What do you enjoy about your career path so far, and why?
I have enjoyed the feeling of endless possibilities in my career so far. At one point, I put my future career in a box with a strict 5-year plan. Once I learned it’s okay to let go of that, great opportunities started coming my way. I am now in this community of liberty-minded people and it feels good to be a part of something that I believe in!
-
Why did you decide to work with America’s Future?
In College I became aware of how many people in my generation were content with fewer liberties. AF is doing the task of connecting young professionals with the resources and drive to create a culture shift. I am thrilled to be a part of fueling this movement.
-
What are you most excited about in the role?
I am looking forward to learning the ins and outs of the development process for a nonprofit. I’m also excited to vamp up our DC office space even more for our staff and members who need a spot to collaborate and be productive!
-
What helpful skills do you have that people could ask you for advice on?
I like to think I am a good giver of advice overall, even if I’m not an expert on the subject. I can empathize while giving a different perspective that seems to help people. The real question is, can I take my own good advice? Not nearly as much as I should.
-
Coffee order?
Cold brew with a lil’ bit of cream, no sugar.

Favorite places to travel?
I do not have a specific destination that I would call my favorite. I like to travel anywhere in nature to have time to disconnect from technology and the hustle and bustle of the city. My dream travel destinations include Prague, Iceland, and South Korea.
