AF-Austin: 250 Years in Pursuit

Celebrate America’s 250th with Hamilton vs. Jefferson rap battles, a Jeopardy civics showdown, and a chance to win up to $250 in prizes!

When was the last time a history lesson came with a beat drop? America turned 250 this year, and AF Austin is marking the occasion with the founding era’s greatest rivalry brought to life. Watch Alexander Hamilton and Thomas Jefferson trade bars over federalism and constitutional interpretation in two viral AI rap battle videos created by Emergent Order Foundation, the Austin based studio behind some of the most watched economics and civics content on the internet!

Then the competition moves to you. Audience members will face off in a live Jeopardy style civics challenge with real cash on the line, including a top prize of $250. Whether you come to compete or just to watch your friends sweat over the Commerce Clause, you’ll leave with sharper civics knowledge, new connections with Austin’s liberty minded young professionals, and maybe a little extra cash in your pocket. Drinks and apps, good company, and the founders at their most quotable. This is how you celebrate a semiquincentennial.
