As artificial intelligence rapidly reshapes our economy, culture, and legal system, lawmakers are already floating some wild ideas — including AI personhood and robot rights.
Yes. Really.
Join AF-Austin for our first event back as we dive headfirst into the policies quietly being debated in Washington and beyond. What happens when machines start claiming legal status? Who is accountable when algorithms make decisions that affect real lives? And how do we protect human agency, freedom, and responsibility in a world increasingly run by code?
Our featured speaker, Brendan Steinhouser, CEO of the Alliance for Secure AI, will break down what’s actually coming down the pipeline — separating sci-fi fear-mongering from the real threats already in motion.
If you care about liberty, accountability, and keeping humans in charge, this is a conversation you don’t want to miss.
