AF-Columbus: Ohio’s Stalled Educational Savings Accounts

In 2021 the Ohio Legislature passed the Afterschool Child Enrichment (ACE) Educational Savings Accounts for Ohio’s students, but nearly six months after Governor DeWine signed into law, no movement towards implementation has been made. By law, the department was required to create an online form for parents and guardians to request the establishment of an account under this section no later than one hundred twenty days (approximately 4 months) after the effective date of its passing.
