AF-DC Hub: Holiday Reception and DC Charity Drive

Join the AF DC Hub for a holiday reception – bring a pair of gloves or a hat and get a drink on us in return!

It’s the most wonderful time of the year… but not for everyone. So let’s do our part to spread some cheer and valuable resources to our city. This year’s AF DC Hub Holiday Happening is going to be both a chance for us to get together before the season takes us to all corners of the country while doing some good for those in need in DC.

We are collecting items to donate to Thrive DC for them to give out to people in need this winter season. These are the items they are looking for: winter coats, hoodies, hats, gloves, scarves, blankets, underwear, thermals, and heavy socks. We are only collecting new items! To cheer you on for your support, we are giving each guest a drink ticket for each item you bring to donate (up to 3 separate items).

Feel free to dress in your holiday best or your ugliest sweater. We have no formal dress code, but holiday cheer is always appreciated!

There is two-hour street parking around, but if you intend on getting sloshed with us, please rideshare or use the orange/silver line metro. The Clarendon station is closest.

Tickets are free, but required. Food will be included.

We are giving folks up to 3 drink tickets for every item of winterwear you bring to donate. We will not accept used items (must have tags still on). Gloves only count if they are in a set. Please donate nice items as we want to give back and make the folks receiving these gifts feel special!

You can reserve more than one ticket by checking out additional times.
