AF-Detroit: Detroit Educational Challenges

Join AF-Detroit and local school teachers to discuss the state of our local educational system!

At AF, we believe that community members like yourself are the experts on your communities and the situations it faces. This month, AF- Detroit is joined by three Detroit teachers (TBA) from three different schools who will speak about their experiences in the educational space related to funding and access to needed resources. Join us on Thursday August 24th from 5:30-7:30 at Empire Kitchen and Cocktails for robust discussion on these challenges, appetizers, and drinks. We also have some exciting new opportunities to share with you so don’t miss this one. This event is for young professionals 21-40 years old, make sure to invite your friends, teachers, and other education professionals!

In support of our teachers, we’re asking for everyone to bring one of the following items for donation:
– Hand sanitizer
– Tissue
– Markers
– Or other classroom needs
