AF-Milwaukee: Why School Choice Matters

January 26, 2022 5:30 PM - 7:00 PM

Camp Bar Third Ward

525 East Menomonee Street , Milwaukee,

Wisconsin is home to the nation’s oldest private voucher program. The Milwaukee Parental Choice Program (MPCP), created with bipartisan support in 1990, now provides education options to almost 30,000 students in Wisconsin’s largest city. The Racine program was added in 2011, the statewide program in 2013, and the Special Needs Scholarship Program in 2015. Today nearly 56,000 students are receiving an outstanding education and have a brighter future.

Join AF-Milwaukee and Nicholas Kelly, President of School Choice Wisconsin, for a celebration of National School Choice Week. Nicholas will provide a discussion on the importance of school choice and its overlap with AF-Milwaukee’s 2022 community initiative of poverty and homelessness.

We look forward to seeing you on Wednesday, January 26, at 5:30 pm at Camp Bar Third Ward.
