About Nick Ochsner:

Nick Ochsner is the Chief Investigative Reporter at WBTV. His reporting focuses on government corruption and uncovering fraud, waste and abuse. A native of Fayetteville, Nick put his knowledge of southeastern North Carolina politics and history to use covering the 9th Congressional District Scandal in 2018, which culminated in the book The Vote Collectors, which he co-authored with Michael Graff. Nick graduated from Elon University and made reporting stops in Texas and Virginia before landing in Charlotte, where he lives with his wife, Sarah Blake Morgan, two dogs and a cat.
