AF Texas Hub: Murder, Mystery, Misadventure (and Brunch)!

Join AF-Texas Hub for a stroll through Oakwood Cemetery to learn about the cemetery’s famous residents followed by brunch at Cenote!

Join AF Texas Hub for SAC’s annual Murder, Mystery and Misadventure Tour on Saturday, October 29, 2022! Come meet some of the Oakwood Cemetery “residents” eager to tell the stories of their demise “live” and in-person.

AF members will meet at Cenote at 11am for a complimentary group brunch before heading over to Oakwood Cemetery for the tour! Walking tours depart on the half-hour and last about 45 minutes.

The tour includes the son of a prominent Austin architect and builder, the victim of a shooting at one of Austin’s saloons, two ambushes, a drowning in the waters of Shoal Creek and a mourning mother who had to bury her children. It is SAC’s most popular event and a great way to learn a little of Austin’s history!
