Virtual

Online, Digital,

Like many of you, we have been watching a lot of Netflix during the shelter in place situation. But we all know movies are more fun with friends and local drinks. That’s why your friends from AF NOLA invite you to a virtual screening of Miss Virginia on Netflix. We will be using Kast (see description for how to sign up below) to watch the powerful story of Miss Virginia and chat throughout the film. Even better, you don’t even need Netflix to watch with us!

Based on a true story, MISS VIRGINIA stars Emmy® winner Uzo Aduba as a struggling single mother who is losing her fifteen-year-old son to the rough streets of Washington, DC. Unwilling to see him drop out and deal drugs, she places him in a private school. But when she can’t afford tuition, she launches a movement to change the system that is destroying him and thousands like him

For the first 15 to sign up and email us at: [email protected] will receive a voucher for beer from Port Orleans to pick up to enjoy the day of.

We look forward to enjoying this powerful film and supporting local business with you.
