With the appointment of former State Senator James Meeks to the post of State Board of Education Chairman, for perhaps the first time Illinois has an advocate for school choice at the highest level of our state education system.

Is increasing school choice a potential game changer for improving education in Illinois? What form should it take – charter schools, vouchers, tax credits? What impact would each of these proposed solutions have on our public school system?
