Let’s Talk: Free Speech

February 16, 2016 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM

The Fund for American Studies

1706 New Hampshire Avenue Northwest , Washington , D.C. 20009

AFF’s last chance to take part in the “Let’s Talk” series is here, along with the chance to win $500.

When it comes to free speech, we’ve seen the polarized rhetoric on college campuses. Are students too sensitive or are outsiders too unwilling to listen? Whatever the truth is, we can’t stand for threats and discrimination; so how can we defend the First Amendment with empathy?

Expect a crash course of the facts, communication tips, and a chance to practice your argument skills in a small group setting. Space is limited to 30 participants. There will be a light reception before the workshop. This is the FINAL opportunity to be eligible for our March competition for a $500 prize. If you’re interested, enter now!

Confirmed Speaker:
