March 18, 2016 5:30 PM - 8:15 PM

University of Pittsburgh

Room 226, Pittsburgh, PA

the war on drugs = 40 years, $1 trillion, 45 million arrests

What do George W. Bush, Rachel Maddow and Brad Pitt have in common? They’ve all criticized the war on drugs. Believe it or not, today there are more people behind bars for nonviolent drug offenses than for all crimes in the 1970s. Join us on March 18th as we learn more about the human toll of the War on Drugs and alternatives to reducing drug abuse. We’ll start with a screening of award winning documentary “The House I Live In” followed by a group discussion.
